In the fall of 2006, we were
commissioned to transform a 22 year old, 2,800
square foot high-rise condominium into a beach
shack a la East Hampton. The clients asked
that everything be brand new, including walls
and windows. She asked for a relaxed place
"more Ralph Lauren than Ralph Lauren", and he
asked for luxurious bathrooms "more Ritz Carlton
than Ritz Carlton". Cooking and
entertaining are very high on their priorities.
By removing the bar and the wall separating the
kitchen from the old dining room, we created a
generous great room experience with a live-in,
eat-in kitchen and two seating areas. To
tour some before and after photographs, click on
the areas above.
This project took
3 PRISM Awards in 2007.
The renovation was featured in
Waterfront Homes Magazine, September 2007
and Florida International Magazine, August 2008.
