And when it's all painted, polished and lit, it's a brand new "old" room.

Partway down the salon, we dropped a curved ceiling to accentuate two bars under the lower end soffits. This portion of the floor was done in marble.

This shows all the shaping required, and the structure created to hold the four enormous solid doors that slide back into the walls when dinner in the ballroom is announced.

The finished space is now a versatile background for any type of party, reception or function.
