All the lavatories in the entire building had to be re-built from scratch. l950's pink tiles don't quite make the grade for a fine catering facility.
With fine tiles, marbles, richly framed mirrors and flattering light from bronze wall sconces, even the lavatories reflect a black-tie quality.
James Goodman's on-site design studio, where he kept one day ahead of all the crews while supervising those crews as they executed yesterday's designs, was popular with everyone. The small second floor banquet room looked like a WWII military command post with temporary phone wires strung across wood paneling, and original drawings taped to the walls for quick reference.
And last, but not least, while Jim's first office was being refinished, he moved into another small banquet room to finish the job - seen here answering questions from one of the carpenters.
